About NCA 2017

Northwood Community Arts (NCA) was established in 2005,* from a base at St John’s United Reformed Church, by a group of enthusiastic, local people  and in response to a growing need and demand for creative community opportunities and facilities in the local area. It is a genuine community led organisation which is committed to delivering a programme of innovative and creative projects designed to excite and inspire all sections of the community.

The programme is facilitated by professional practitioners and includes activities such as children’s summer circus skills, local heritage and research projects, creative programmes for elders, projects for young people, family theatre shows and inter-generational activities. The emphasis is on high quality provision with a focus on engaging and inspiring activities to encourage participation from the wider community, particularly those who might not normally have access to these kinds of activities.

*NCA was a registered charity between 2011 and 2016.
