Northwood Community Arts – membership information

Northwood Community Arts is a charitable organisation formally established as a company limited by guarantee and registered charity ,
The organisation was constituted in 2005, supported by ArtReach, with the aim to create high quality community arts opportunities for the whole of Northwood and extending to the wider London Borough of Hillingdon.

Northwood Community Arts operates from its base at St John’s United Reformed Church, Hallowell Road in central Northwood where an exciting programme of family theatre shows, music and dance workshops, textile and craft, visual arts activities and circus skills training programmes are delivered by experienced professional practitioners. Activities target children, young people, family groups and the over 50’s and are intended to be accessible to all, creating a friendly and fun creative environment.

Northwood Community Arts is managed by a Committee currently comprising seven local community representatives. It is offering membership to any local people over the age of 16 who would like to play a role in supporting and developing this vibrant and energetic organisation. Becoming a Member will help Northwood Community Arts to develop its plans and future programmes.  Membership costs £10 per annum for each individual (running for a twelve month period from joining) and provides the following benefits:

  • Membership card
  • Monthly Member e-mail newsletter updates (circulated via post for those without e-mail access)
  • Occasional special ticket offers for events and activities
  • Access to  special member’s only areas of the Northwood Community Arts web site.
  • Participation in twice a year Members only meetings with an opportunity to have a say about future plans and programmes and to vote for Committee members (or to stand for election)

Please note that Membership is for an individual and that couples would need to join separately to take advantage of voting membership rights and other benefits. However, any children of a Member (under the age of 16) will automatically be included as non-voting family members.

The £10 Membership subscription can be paid by cheque payable to Northwood Community Arts or by credit/debit card via ArtReach (01628 675800)

Bisiness Membership Scheme
Local businesses with an interest in the community of Northwood, can also support this innovative, locally run organisation.
Join Northwood Community Arts Business Membership scheme by contributing just £50 per year. For this contribution local businesses will not only receive access to the member’s area of www.northwoodcommunityarts.co.uk and regular newsletters about the project and programme; in addition, the company name will appear with a credit as a Business Member on the NCA web site (with a link available if requested); the site is regularly updated and visited by members, bookers of Northwood Community Arts and residents of Northwood and the surrounding area. contact us
